Dempsey's Steakhouse & Seafood restaruant was opened in September 1997 by Norman Forrester. Because of Normans interest and links to the boxing world, it was named after the American boxer Jack Dempsey.

In 1998 NIGEL BENN stopped off for a 16oz rump steak on a brief visit to Carlisle, just one of the many celebrities to have eaten here.

In its 10 years it has become the most popular 'Al a Carte' eatery in the city. With a sublime menu and adventurous wine list Dempsey's caters for all tastes. To compliment the al a carte menu, Dempsey's offers a daily 'Twilight menu'. Available all night Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, until 7:30pm Friday and between 6pm and 7pm on Saturday.

The twilight menu gives the choice of three starters, three main courses and a mouth watering desert all freshly prepared to order.

In Addition to the food a bottle of Argentinean/South African house wine is included, all for the resonable price of £40 per couple.

The 'Twilight Menu' has gone from strength to strength over the 10 years and the restaurant is never short of customers, a result of this fantastic menu.
